University of Gour Banga (UGB), Malda has issued Advertisement No. 567/UGB/DR-25 for recruitment of 04 project staff under an ICSSR funded Major Research Project 2024–25. The University is inviting applications for 01 Research Assistant and 03 Field Investigators on a temporary and purely project-based basis. The monthly remuneration is Rs. 37,000/- for Research Assistant and Rs. 20,000/- for Field Investigator. Eligible postgraduates in Commerce / Economics / Management can apply by submitting applications both by post and email on or before 05-12-2025.

Qualification

Research Assistant: Post Graduate degree in Commerce / Economics / Management (minimum 55% marks) from a UGC recognised institution. Preference will be given to candidates with NET / Ph.D. / M.Phil and good command over English and data analysis software.
Field Investigator: Post Graduate degree in Commerce / Economics / Management (minimum 55% marks) from a UGC recognised institution. Experience in field survey and data collection will be an added advantage.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on shortlisting of eligible candidates followed by an interview conducted by the project selection committee. Final merit list will consider academic performance, research aptitude, communication skills and performance in the interview. The engagement will be purely temporary and co-terminus with the ICSSR project.
