CSIR – Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR-CGCRI), Kolkata has released Advertisement No. 2/2025 (R&A) for engagement of one Part-time Doctor (Allopathic system) for its in-house clinic on purely temporary and contractual basis. The Part-time Doctor will provide medical consultation to institute employees, pensioners and their dependent family members for 3 hours per working day. The honorarium will be Rs. 46,020/- per month (consolidated). Eligible MBBS doctors with minimum 2 years of experience can apply in the prescribed format so that the application reaches on or before 05-12-2025 (5:30 PM).

MBBS degree with at least 55% marks from a Government / MCI recognised Medical College / University; minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital / nursing home or private practice after internship. Candidate must possess valid registration number with the Medical Council. Desirable: Post Graduate qualification / training in Medicine / Paediatrics / Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Surgery or related specialities.

Selection Process

Screening will be done on the basis of educational qualification, specialisation and relevant experience. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview by the Selection Committee. Final selection will depend on interview performance, verification of documents and medical fitness. Engagement is purely temporary and may be terminated by giving one month's notice from either side.

4. Send the application only by Speed Post in an envelope superscribed “Application for engagement of Part-time Doctor in CSIR-CGCRI” to the Controller of Administration, CSIR-CGCRI, 196, Raja S.C. Mullick Road, Kolkata – 700032 so as to reach by 05-12-2025 (5:30 PM).
5. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected.
